Alaska Gold Fever is not out on Xbox yet. The PC version launched on Steam on April 14, 2026, and release trackers list Xbox Series X for 2026 with no confirmed day. The developer, Baked Games, has not published a fixed Xbox date, so treat any specific date as unconfirmed until an official announcement appears.

Is Alaska Gold Fever on Xbox?

No Xbox build has been released. The game shipped first on PC through Steam, and the same trackers that record the PC launch list an Xbox Series X version as upcoming in 2026. Preview coverage of the PC build on a handheld Xbox device, including a ROG Xbox Ally X review, is not a console release; it is the Windows version running on Xbox-branded handheld hardware.

Release trackers describe both console dates as confirmed for 2026, but none of the sources reviewed here give a month or day. Check the official storefront listing before planning around a console launch.

What console players should expect

The PC version is a first-person sim with full controller support, and the Steam page lists 17 interface languages. Reviews of the PC build describe heavy system use and uneven performance, including stutter on handheld hardware, so a console port will need optimisation work that has not been shown publicly. Extra content already exists on PC, including the free Homecoming Update and the paid Bandits DLC, and there is no multiplayer in the released game.

Whenever the Xbox version arrives, the durability system will come with it. Tools and weapons are repaired from the inventory using material such as magnetite, which players often report running out of, and patch notes show the developers tuning how fast gear and cold damage wear you down. One recent PC hotfix stopped weapon repairs for some players while tool repairs kept working, so expect similar post-launch fixes to follow the console build.

FAQ

1.Is Alaska Gold Fever on Xbox yet?

No. The game shipped first on PC through Steam on April 14, 2026, and no Xbox build has been released. Preview coverage of the PC version on a handheld Xbox device is not a console release.

2.When is the Alaska Gold Fever Xbox release date?

Release trackers list Xbox Series X for 2026 with no fixed day. Baked Games has not published a specific date, so treat any exact date as unconfirmed.

3.Why does Xbox hardware appear in Alaska Gold Fever coverage?

Some reviews ran the Windows version on a handheld Xbox-branded device such as the ROG Xbox Ally X. That is the PC build, not an Xbox console release.

4.What should console players expect from the port?

The PC version is a first-person sim with full controller support and 17 interface languages, but reviews describe uneven performance on handheld hardware, so a console build would need optimisation work.

5.Will tool repair work the same on console?

Durability is a core system, so repair should carry over. Repairs use material such as magnetite, and one recent PC hotfix stopped weapon repairs for some players while tools kept working.
