A Hozy walkthrough is short by design: nine rooms, one loop, and a Finish button that only lights up once you have completed the room's tasks and unpacked the furniture. This page runs the rooms in order, notes what changes in each one, and explains how to unpack furniture, since that final objective is the same in all nine locations.

The nine rooms in order

The order below follows the published all-levels walkthrough, and the room names match the achievement list, so you can use the same names whether you are following the guide or checking progress on Steam.

A Hozy room mid-restore, with the journal open
The journal at the top right lists the room's tasks and crosses them off as you complete them

Progression is linear: finishing a room unlocks the next one. That said, the game is not strict about how completely you clean before moving on, because you can return to any finished room later.

Level notes worth knowing before you start

  • The attic is the tutorial: it hands you four tools and three paint colours, and asks only for trash, mop and two windows.
  • The workshop's parquet must come up with the crowbar before new planks can be laid; the removed wood goes in the metal bin in the garden.
  • The dark music hall hides part of its walls behind window covers, so close them before you paint or clean.
  • The small apartment asks you to move a portable staircase and stool outside before mopping, and its walls are covered in mathematical illustrations.
  • The tree house skips the bin entirely — broken planks fall out of bounds, which makes it the quickest room in the game.
  • The penthouse is nearly colourless until you switch off the static television, after which the standard loop resumes.
  • The cafe was a pharmacy, and its entrance needs sweeping before you paper the front wall and tile the left wall.
  • The dream room swaps leaves for cards that you move with the mop; its texture-remover paint also counts as painting.
  • The lighthouse opens with a dryer gun for damp walls, then asks for two floors, steel steps, tiles and the windows at the top.

Hozy how to unpack furniture

Every room ends the same way. Once the cleaning, painting and any repair tasks are struck from the journal, boxes appear labelled vaguely as "furniture", "big stuff" and "small stuff", and the final objective — always "Unpack the furniture" — enters the list. Open every box, place the items, and the Finish button becomes available.

Boxes waiting to be emptied in a Hozy room
The final objective is identical in all nine rooms: open every box and place what is inside

You do not have to be precious about placement. Furniture rotates with the mouse wheel while held, items you dislike can be dropped into the void, and any completed room can be revisited to rearrange it. For the last room, that is all that stands between you and the credits.

FAQ

1.How long is the Hozy walkthrough?

There are nine rooms. A published all-levels walkthrough covers them in one sitting, and the achievement guide estimates about ten minutes per room if you rush, so a completion-focused run lands near ninety minutes. A relaxed decorating run takes considerably longer.

2.Does Hozy get harder later on?

It adds variety rather than difficulty. Later rooms introduce a crowbar, a garden broom, wallpaper and tiles, and the lighthouse's dryer gun, but there is no timer, no fail state and no way to lose progress, so a new mechanic is the only real change.

3.Which rooms are the odd ones out?

The tree house is the shortest and uses only a crowbar, because the removed planks fall out of bounds. The dream room is the strangest, with cards on the floor instead of leaves, and the lighthouse is the finale, with damp walls and two floors to restore.

4.What happens after the last room?

The lighthouse is the final location: once its furniture is unpacked and placed, the credits roll. You can still revisit any completed room afterwards to redecorate.
