A no-commentary walkthrough of The Sinking City 2 exists in two forms: a full-game upload running in 4K 60FPS on PC Ultra settings, and a shorter demo upload that stops around the Devil's Reef Hotel. Neither one narrates the puzzles, so the useful companion is a written route that gives you the answers, especially the safe codes, without unpausing and rewinding.

What a no-commentary run gives you

The appeal is simple: you see the game play itself with no host talking over the atmosphere. The trade-off is that every puzzle answer and every safe code has to come from somewhere else, because the uploader never explains a lock. That is why this page pairs the videos with the written GameSpew route and the GamesRadar Part 1 breakdown.

The demo upload does carry an auto-generated transcript of the in-game dialogue, which is handy for following the story. The full-game upload has no caption track in the capture used here, so for that one you are watching pure footage. For a narrated alternative, the Neoseeker route linked from the walkthrough page is the better fit.

Which videos to watch and how long they run

The table below lists the no-commentary uploads that are actually available, plus the commentary video that covers the same opening if you want the route explained out loud.

The demo upload is the better first watch if you only want to see whether the game is for you, because it ends at a natural chapter break. The full-game upload is the one to keep open while you play, but expect to scrub back and forth whenever a lock stops you.

The opening route without narration

GamesRadar breaks the opening into two named puzzles: the Apartment 5 safe and the gate fuse box. Both sit in the first flooded district, before you ever reach the Miskatonic Library Annex. The safe is in Apartment 5, one door along from the apartment the story pushes you toward, and the fuse box controls the watergate you need to pass.

Once the gate is open you drive the boat through flooded streets until the Annex, then follow the sliding-bookcase puzzle to the Restricted Section. GameSpew lists the fuse arrangement as I-shaped on the left, T-shaped at the top and L-shaped on the right, rotating each one to fit.

Safe codes and puzzle answers to read instead of pausing

This is the part a no-commentary video cannot give you. The safe codes and puzzle answers below are fixed, so you can read them before the video reaches the lock.

  • Apartment 5 wall safe: 1908.
  • Church watergate lever: 1672.
  • Devil's Reef Hotel safe, Room 301: 2137.
  • Hospital storage room lock: 1308.
  • Hospital brains console: 13, 05, 36.
  • Fish Market wooden lock: 1, 4, 9, 16.
  • Fish Market Ezekiel locker: Lighthouse, Rope, Starfish, Octopus.
  • Church obelisk, top to bottom: Snake, X, Arrowhead, U.

The safe codes are also the ones that matter for trophies, because each one is attached to a side investigation. The hotel safe in particular is easy to walk past, since the door is hidden behind a cabinet on the third floor.

Missable pickups and the New Game Plus pass

Two collectible sets are missable inside a single run: ten Mushroom Jack radios and thirteen Emergency Relief Crates, which need an E.R.C. Activator Pen to open. A third set, the eight Ex Oblivione writings, only spawns in the New Game Plus mode that unlocks after the credits.

Because the no-commentary upload does not call out pickups, keep the trophy guide open in a second tab and tick each collectible off as the video passes it. The endings page explains what the New Game Plus documents actually are if you are only playing for the story.

FAQ

1.Is there a full no-commentary walkthrough of The Sinking City 2?

Yes. A full-game no-commentary upload runs in 4K 60FPS on PC Ultra settings, and a separate no-commentary demo upload covers the opening. The full-game video was published on 17 August 2026, just before launch.

2.Do the no-commentary videos have subtitles?

The full-game upload has no caption track in the capture used for this page, so the only text source is the written walkthrough. The demo upload does carry an auto-generated transcript of the in-game dialogue.

3.How do you get the safe code without commentary?

You read it. The Apartment 5 safe is 1908, the hotel safe is 2137, the church watergate lever is 1672 and the hospital storage lock is 1308. No commentary is needed because the codes are fixed values.

4.Which area does the demo footage cover?

The no-commentary demo ends around the Devil's Reef Hotel, after the Annex and the church. Everything past the hotel, including the hospital and fish market, only appears in the full-game upload.

5.How long is the campaign?

Review coverage puts a normal run at roughly 10 to 15 hours depending on how much you explore, and the written guides split that into nine story parts plus an Ex Oblivione New Game Plus pass.
